THE REVOLUTION WAS TELEVISED TOTE BAG
To me, Gil Scott Heron truly represented the American experience. It’s a bitter sweet experience and lucky for us he had beautiful way of creatively expressing it. His words are so so sharp and emotional. The first time I heard ‘The Revolution will not be Televised” My brain popped. I was in high school and sat and listened to it on repeat for a few days. Fast forward to 2011…and strangely the ‘revolution’ was televised, blogged tweeted, reinterpreted, analyze, remixed and reconstructed. This bag is an ode to Gil Scott Heron.
This bag is made from hand printed heavy canvas, sheep skin, cork, leather wrapped rope and tone of love. It features an inner pocket and the side leather snaps can be removed to make the bag larger. All skins used are upcycled and the chain is vintage.
